​Casual had feet on the ground this week at the announcement by the mayor of the new London Living Wage. As of this week, the UK Living Wage is £8.25 an hour and the London Living Wage is £9.40 an hour.

The Living Wage is an hourly rate calculated according to the basic cost of living in the UK. Employers who actually care can volunteer to pay the Living Wage. It’s not the same as the Minimum Wage. It’s not compulsory. It’s just fair.
